GAS CYLINDER RULES 2016

These rules are framed in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 7 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884) and in supersession of the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2004, There are 5 schedules and 7 forms in gas cylinder rules 2016 

SCHEDULE / FORM	CONTENT
Schedule – 1	Deal with TYPES AND STANDARDS OF CYLINDERS OR VALVES AND LPG REGULATORS that are originating from different countries including India
Schedule - 2	deal with TEST AND INSPECTION CERTIFICATES from the inspecting authority in respect of CYLINDERS AND VALVES manufactured in accordance with approved design and specification or code shall include the following particulars namely
Schedule – 3	deal with PARTICULARS TO BE SUBMITTED BY PERSON DESIRING TO MANUFACTURE CYLINDERS, VALVES AND OTHER FITTINGS
Schedule - 4	deal with FACILITIES REQUIRED FOR CYLINDER TESTING STATIONS
Schedule – 5	deal with FEES to be paid FOR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES
Form A	Declaration to be made by the Master of Ship carrying cylinders filled with compressed gas/es before entering a port or by the ship's agent.
Form B	Application for the grant/amendment/renewal/duplicate copy of a licence to import gas cylinders, valves and LPG regulators
Form C	Application for the grant/amendment/renewal/ duplicate copy of a licence to fill and/or store compressed gas/es in cylinders:
Form D	Licence to import Gas Cylinders, Valves and LPG regulators by Sea
Form E	Licence to Fill compressed gas in cylinder
Form F	Licence to store compressed gas in cylinder
Form G	Licence to dispense compressed natural gas or compressed Bio Gas in a CNG/CBG dispensing station as automotive fuel

INDIA –

·       Welded low carbon steel cylinders for low-pressure liquefiable gases manufactured to IS:3196 Part 1, Part 2 & Part 4, 

·       IS:7142, auto LPG containers to IS:14899, 

·       DA cylinders to IS:7312 Cryogenic containers manufactured to EN-1251, EN 13458, ASME

·       LPG valves and regulators manufactured to IS:8776, IS:8737, IS:9798

Schedule – 2 deal with TEST AND INSPECTION CERTIFICATES from the inspecting authority in respect of CYLINDERS AND VALVES manufactured in accordance with approved design and specification or code shall include the following particulars namely
